In August 2024, we were approached by a local charity called Don’t Lose Hope, who offers professional counselling for all members of the community.
Don’t Lose Hope’s Community Garden and Shed space is open for all, 7 days a week, and offers a safe space to chat, enjoy nature, learn new skills and increase confidence.
With the generous support and donations from our suppliers, we are pleased to have been able to donate and install one of our custom-made SIP kits to use in this space.
They opted for a 4.2m x 3m SIPs kit, as this offers the perfect space to expand and create a quiet space, allowing them to support more members of the local community.
Their design incorporates three opening reveals (two windows and one door), along with a 600mm front overhang.
We were also able to donate one of our fixing kits, to construct the studio, as well as the external breathable membrane and battens.
Rubber4Roofs also generously donated an EPDM Roof Membrane Kit to complete the new studio roof.
What was included in this SIPs Kit?
For reference, this SIPs kit included the following:
- All SIPs Panels cut and ready to construct – This design consists of 3.0m x 1.2m x 97mm SIP Panels for the Floor, 2.44m x 1.22m x 122mm SIP Panels for the Walls and 3.0m x 1.2m x 122mm SIPs Panels for the Roof.
- All associated jointing splines and timbers – Both Jointing Splines for 97mm SIPs (2.44m long) and Jointing Splines for 122mm SIPs (2.34m long).
- All opening reveals cut, and timber lined, ready to install the doors and windows.

The grand opening of the new quiet room took place on Monday 16th December 2024, and it’s safe to say it was a huge success!
